Sponsor a Child
Education in Uganda is not free. School fees are required for each child which include books, meals, and a uniform. While the fees for one child may not seem like much, it is a tremendous burden when 50 children need an education! Recurring sponsorships are open-ended, but can be modified or cancelled at any time. Outlined below are the education costs for kids at Faith Children's Home - to sponsor a child, simply enter the code found on the child's page in the "Meet the Children" section.
$40/month per child (this provides boarding or transportation if boarding is not an option along with the books, meals, and a uniform)
$50/month per child (this provides boarding or transportation if boarding is not an option along with the books, meals, and a uniform)
$100/month per child (this provides boarding or transportation if boarding is not an option, and basic needs of the student)
Provide a Need
You can help with everday needs of the FCH family in Uganda, or provide resources that are critical to the long term health of the orphanage. Below are some the everyday items and also the larger needs of a growing ministry:
A tractor can be used to turn months of work into a few days and then be leased to other farmers for added income. Farmland - The purchase of 30 acres of land @ $300/acre to grow coffee and produce a sustainable resource for the ministry. The total we need is $9,000, but please support us in whatever way you can, either by donating here in $1,000 increments, or scroll to the bottom of the page and make a one-time donation of any amount.
The near goal is purchasing 5 acres that would support 10 houses where trained widows would be care-givers for 6-8 children. Together, they would farm the land and grow their own food. Each simple 3 bedroom house will cost about $8,000. Need to buy 10 new trunk beds for the kids in Faith Children Home, each trunk bed, to sleep 2 kids, costs $80.
We urgently need to renovate, toilets, Bathrooms, Fence and some Sleeping rooms, for the Healthy and security of the Kids
